SUMMARY:Art of Teaching Open House
DESCRIPTION:The Art of Teaching is a 2-year program for students of Iyengar Yoga to prepare for assessment as a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT). Students will receive a thorough grounding in the art\, science and philosophy of yoga in the lineage of B.K.S. Iyengar and family. The program emphasizes practice\, experiential learning\, mentorship and intensive study within a supportive community of practitioners. \nThe program is open to students of Iyengar Yoga with maturity in practice\, curiosity to learn and passion to share the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. You must have a clear commitment to the Iyengar method. Applicants must have several years of study in the Iyengar method\, a stability and maturity in Intermediate classes\, and a personal practice. \nDuring the open house\, Victoria\, (faculty 2017)\, and co-leader Brian Hogencamp (2017-2018) will observe the candidates’ asana practice and answer questions about the program. Applications are due November 15th\, and the program runs from January 2017 through December 2018. \n
